Custom HTTP Code Check

If you need to monitor a page that does not respond with the usual 200 OK code, you’ll need to use the Custom HTTP Code Check feature that Monitive provides.

Just log into your account, edit your monitor, scroll down to the Advanced / Custom Settings and enter the HTTP code (integer) that your page should return if everything is OK, such as 403.

There are many reasons why your page might not respond with 200 OK but usually it’s because you’re monitoring a basic Apache Test Page that returns 403 Forbidden so that it doesn’t get indexed by search engines.

If you run a web-server with many sites on it, and you want to monitor the Apache service without monitoring one site in particular.
