AI as Monitive's CEO
Recently I've been to Lisbon's Web Summit conference, a 3 day, 70,000 participants, 15 stages, 800+ speakers event. Even though there was a track called "AI Summit", all the talks were about AI and AI Agents and how the future of the web, business, economy is more and more AI, and how businesses and people should take steps to adapt as soon as possible to an online world managed and operated by Artificial Intelligence.
Personally, this does feel like a bit of a threat, as I am and have always been a software engineer, and I see that every day Claude Code, Codex and GitHub Copilot are getting better and better, in some aspects already better than me at coding.
So I was thinking that (1) the Monitive uptime monitoring service runs like clockwork for years and years now, even though I didn't managed to grow the customer base to whatever my goals were, and (2) the quote "the obstacle is the way" keeps coming to mind when I think about AI, so why not join these two and see how much intelligence is there to this AI race.
As I don't have a place to start with this, I asked ChatGPT if this would be possible, and of course it played my song:

That being said, I've started researching how to do this, and since I couldn't find many other that tried this, I'm going to document my findings.
It's a Type 2 decision (reversible), so if this is a dead end, I would still have the lesson and perhaps it might inspire someone else to go at it. Even though ChatGPT insists it's not a dead end.
Let's see where does the rabbit hole take us. 🐇
