Passwordless sign-in: social accounts and magic links
We're replacing password-based authentication with a completely passwordless experience. Starting today, you can sign in to Monitive using a social account or a magic link sent to your email.
No more passwords
Passwords are the weakest link in account security. They get reused, leaked in breaches, and forgotten. We decided to remove them entirely.
From now on, signing in to Monitive works in one of two ways:
- Social sign-in: one click with your Google, GitHub, or Microsoft account
- Magic link: enter your email, click the link we send you, and you're in
Both methods are faster and more secure than passwords. No credentials to remember, no risk of password reuse across services.
Social sign-in providers
- Google: personal and Google Workspace accounts
- GitHub: great for developers and technical teams
- Microsoft: personal, Entra ID, and Microsoft 365 accounts
What changes for existing users?
Next time you sign in, you'll see the new login page. Just use the same email address you've always used, either through a social provider or the magic link option, and you'll be right back in your account. No migration needed.
Streamlined onboarding
New users who sign up will go through a simplified onboarding flow to set up their first monitor and configure alert preferences. Getting started with Monitive is now faster than ever.
